Cooperative Rates

RATE 1: Small Single Phase Farm, Residential and Commercial Service

Availability: Limited to members whose load requirements do not exceed 150 kVA of transformer capacity.

Facilities Charge: $52.00 per month for service requiring 50 kVA or less of transformer capacity. Each additional kVA required over and above 50 kVA will cost an extra $1.00 per month per kVA.

Energy Charge: All kWh per month at 11.97 cents per kWh

Note: Levelized billing is available to members under this schedule.

RATE 2: Three Phase Farm, Residential and Commercial Service Rates

Availability: Limited to members whose load requirements do not exceed 150 kVA of transformer capacity.

Facilities Charge: $85.00 per month for services requiring 50 kVA or less of transformer capacity. Each additional kVA required over and above 50 kVA will cost an extra $1.00 per month per kVA.

Energy Charge: All kWh per month at 12.05 cents per kWh

RATE 13: Small Single Phase Farm, Residential & Commercial Interruptible Service -- Up To 200 Amps

Availability: Available to members of the Cooperative who agree to allow the Cooperative to interrupt all electric service for the period of time specified for general farm, residential and commercial uses including lighting, heating and power, all subject to the established rules and regulations of the Cooperative covering this service. Service under this schedule is limited to members whose load requirements do not exceed 75 kVa of transformer capacity and whose service does not exceed 200 amps. 
 
Facilities Charge: $52.00 per month for service requiring 50 kVa or less of transformer capacity. Each additional kVa required over and above 50 kVa will cost an extra $1.00 per month per kVA.

Energy Charge: All kWh per month @ 10.92 cents per kWh.

RATE 11: Qualified Heat Pump Rates

Availability: Available to members who are under Schedule A, A-T or B and utilize a qualified heat pump (ground source/geothermal or air source) system as their primary source for heating and cooling.

Provisions: Member must purchase and install a separate meter which records the amount of kWh’s used by the heat pump and the electric resistance coils, which are used as back up heating. Member must also install a control switch, which will permit the Cooperative to interrupt service during peak load situations. A typical peak alert consists of on/off cycles of approximately 30 minutes.  However, the cooperative reserves the right to control as needed to meet the peak alert demands. It should be noted that an inspection of the sub-meter base and the control switch must take place prior to being placed on this rate. Additionally, the heating and cooling contractor is required to be present when the inspection takes place.

Metering Equipment: Approximately $240 (price varies, contact SEC Engineering department for an updated price or pricing for your specific needs) 

Facility Charge: $5.00 per month

Energy Charge: All heating and cooling at 10.16 cents per kWh. (Does not include usage for the water heater.)

Note: This rate requires two (2) meters: main meter (rate 1) records base electric use and QHP sub meter (rate 11) which records heating and cooling electric use. Both meters are billed on one bill at separate rates.

RATE 12: Electric Heat Rate for Small Residential Customers

Availability: Limited to members whose load requirements do not exceed 150 kVA of transformer capacity.  The Electric Heat rate is an option for members that utilize resistance heat as their only heat source.  A discounted rate of .1121 will be utilized year round for all kWH use.

Facilities Charge: $52.00 per month for service requiring 50 kVA of transformer capacity. Each additional kVA will be provided at a cost of $1.00 per month per kVA.

Energy Charge: All kWh per month at 11.21 cents per kWh
