"Congratulations” to our linemen on their team and individual efforts.

Coloring Contest Donates Book and DVD to Three Libraries

To promote our 2017 Coloring Contest, “Thank a Lineman,” Shelby Electric Cooperative reached out to local libraries for help. Taking advantage of summer reading programs, 12 libraries passed out flyers and coloring pages on behalf of Shelby Electric.

To thank the libraries for their support, we donated a book and DVD to the three libraries with the most coloring contest entries submitted from their area.

Pole Testing Going On

Contractor crews will be out testing poles over the next several weeks. They are from Lee Inspection and they will have Shelby Electric Cooperative door magnets on the sides of their vehicles.  The inspectors will also have paper work saying they are working for the cooperative. Work is being done in areas served by our Velma, Moweaqua and Wenonah substations.
